Mayer chimes in on Britney lip-sync hubbub
John Mayer has been suffering from Britney Spears wandered into controversy in Australia where the media has blasted critics of her lip-synching her “Circus” tour.
On Saturday, Mayer, who happens to be Down Under promoting his album Tweeted the following: “If you’re outraged that Britney was lip-sync his concert and I want my money back, living continues to be difficult for you.”
Why all the fuss
On Friday, some 100 angry fans reportedly broke into Britney’s concert at the Burswood Dome, Western Australia city of Perth, said that they were disappointed by Lackluster performance, and Spears has been lip-synching during his two-hour show. Spears gave the fans in Perth generic Hey, never mentioning their city name. “What’s up in Australia?,” He said from the stage. “How you feeling today? This is so good to be here this evening. Your country is beautiful.”
One disgruntled visitor to the concert, Wendy Di Renzo, 36, said he pays his $ 148 ticket. “It was so impersonal. He does not communicate with their audience,” he says. “It was great television programming steps, so if you do not know Britney, it may even be doubted whether it was her.”
However, politicians in three Australian states – Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales – has called for new laws to force the music promoters to disclose whether the concert is a live or lip-synched.
