Alt-rock star Gavin Rossdale to kick off McCallum season
The McCallum Theatre will launch its 2009-2010 season with a concert by Gavin Rossdale, former lead singer for the alternative rock band Bush.
Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Aug. 3 at the McCallum box office and its Web site, www.mccallumtheatre.com, for the Sept. 19 concert.
Also going on sale that day will be tickets for a previously announced Oct. 10 performance by former “Saturday Night Live” comic Dana Carvey.
Rossdale released his debut solo album “Wanderlust” in 2008.
Tickets for his concert are $25-$55.
Tickets for Carvey are $45-$75.
McCallum Director of Presentations & Theater Operations Mitch Gershenfeld said another 12 to 15 shows featuring other performers — yet to be announced — will go on sale Sept. 9.
He said those shows would feature “everything from comedy to Broadway to country.”
