South African runner Caster Semenya easily won the women’s world 800 meters title at the Berlin Track and Field World Championships in 1 minute, 55.45 seconds (the fastest time this year).
That was the easy part, but now she must prove to the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) that she’s a women and not a man.
The IAAF let her compete despite asking the South African federation to conduct tricky test on the 18-year-old runner to prove that she is not a he.
