Kannada cinema stalwart Vishnuvardhan dead
One of the stalwarts of Kannada film industry Vishnuvardhan died of a heart attack in Mysore in the late evening on Tuesday.
Popular Kannada actor, whose real name is Sampath Kumar, passed away at the age of 59 years.
Was popularly referred to as the Phoenix of Kannada cinema. Was behind Bharti, who is also a popular actress, and two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana.
In 2005 Vishnuvardhan was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Bangalore.
