Rays Weather: As the weather turns cold and reduced sunlight hours, more and more Americans flock to tanning salons in the indoor access to the required level of the rectum, and bronze – the beach glow. In fact, nearly 30 million people in the United States tan in salons each year, mostly women aged between 16 and 49. But before the start of the bread under the lights, you may want to consider the many health risks associated with the use of such equipment at all.

Let’s start with the injuries. If the surface of the tanning bed is not cleaned properly or if you use the towels are not washed in hot water, you can get infections such as pubic lice (crabs), and genital warts caused by human papillomavirus, or HPV. Tanning beds and exposure to ultraviolet radiation can have a detrimental effect on the immune system and also because it reduces the level of activity of natural killer cells and T cells. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation is also believed to promote the spread of skin-associated infections because the T-cells and suppressed. Dr. Dawn Davis, a dermatologist at the Mayo Clinic, has seen many cases of infection from the bed. “It is very serious,” she said. “I saw people come to my office who had received severe burns and scarring of the bed and a lot of injuries.” The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta reports an estimated 700 emergency room visits per year associated with exposure to the tanning salon.

When you do not use the goggles in the tanning beds, and can be severe burns your eyes from intense ultraviolet radiation (UV) rays. You can put the eye arc or flash burns, and a painful, sometimes kind experienced by welders who fail to use adequate eye protection. UV radiation can also cause cataracts and damage to the retina. And every time you skin exposure to ultraviolet radiation, you increase the risk of skin cancer, the deadliest form of skin cancer because it is easily spread in the bones and other organs through the blood or lymphatic system.

One of the biggest factors to the risk of skin cancer is the continued exposure to ultraviolet radiation, one part of the spectrum of light reaching the Earth from the sun. Is UV (ultraviolet), which penetrate deep into the skin, is responsible for tanning and are often associated with allergic diseases, such as skin rash. Shorter rays (UV) to penetrate the upper layers of the skin and is responsible for sunburn. Tanning salons use of fluorescent lamps that emit both ultraviolet radiation and ultraviolet radiation. The amount of ultraviolet radiation emitted from a tanning bed is up to three times more dense than the UV natural sunlight, and the intensity of ultraviolet radiation in the bed approaches that of bright sunlight. So it makes sense that perfect tanning devices, such as the sun, would increase the risk of skin cancer.
