Starfish Prime
Starfish Prime was the high altitude nuclear test by the U.S. in July 1962. The test was a joint effort of the Atomic Energy Commission and the Defense Atomic Support Agency, the Defense Nuclear energy is transformed in the year 1971. It was a rocky, Thor, which was carrying 49 W thermo-nuclear Warhead MK 4 and return vehicle launched. That the explosion occurred, at 250 kilometers above the point which was 19 miles southwest, Johnston Island in the Pacific. The test was one of the series of five tests (the tests were grouped as the fishbowl operation) by the united states performed in the outer space defined by the FAI. The test had a yield of 1.4 megatons TNT.
The launch of the Star Fish on June 20 have tried, but it was canceled due to the failure of the launch vehicle. The effect is named after one minute of the launch in that case and the safety of dismissal failed the pieces of the missile and a small radio-active contamination. But the second launch has remained posted on 9 July. So Starfish Prime Minister became the first of a series fishbowl test yielding the biggest explosion at the highest point in the test series.
In this test, some beta-energetic particles that was caused by the magnetic filed of the Earth as lit by the heavens. The rest of the high-energy electrons were trapped, so the formation of the solar radiation records over the entire earth. But there are debated and uncertainty about the scope, potential adverse effects and the composition of the trapped radiations after explosion. The test led to the discovery of the verification of certain concepts.
