Steve Mcnair Memorial Service

McNair Killed FootballMT. OLIVE, Miss. – A second public memorial service will be held Friday evening for former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair.
The service will be held at the Reeves Funeral Home in McNair’s hometown of Mt. Olive, Mississippi from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Organizers expected at least 2,000 mourners to attend, making it the largest event Mt. Olive has ever hosted.
Most people in the town of about 1,000 residents know the McNair’s and his untimely death last Saturday has left them stunned and distraught.
“When I see him [Friday], I know it will be all over,” said McNair family friend Jerry Cooper.  “It’s going to be tough.”
In addition to his accomplishments on the football field, McNair will be remembered as the quintessential country boy, hard-working, polite and a pleasure to be around.
His body will be moved Saturday morning to nearby Hattiesburg for a memorial service there.
That service will be held at 11 a.m. at Reed Green Coliseum at the University of Southern Mississippi.
McNair will be buried in Mt. Olive, his family said.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorials be made to The Steve McNair Foundation.
